Enter Perfect-Pets’ Animal Antics Poetry Competition and win £100

It’s the end of a long year and Perfect-Pets Books wants to help pet owners put some creative pep into their step. We’re asking all pet owners to send in a picture of their pet alongside a poem entitled Animal Antics. There’s money up for grabs with the winner taking home £100.

Pets do the funniest things and they have a mind of their own. Their companionship is greatly appreciated and now more than ever, with lockdown restrictions taking over our lives, research confirms that we love having a pet in our homes.

It was estimated at the beginning of February 2020 that 51% of UK adults owned a pet. That’s a high number of pet owners and with many pet lovers adding new or additional pets due to Covid this number will continue to grow.

Perfect-Pets Books are asking pet owners to get creative and share something special about their furry friend in a form of a poem. The poem should be 12 lines maximum and can be about your pet; the funny things they do; how you met; or what makes them special. Some owners may have lost a pet this year so writing a about the fun times you’ve shared can be a therapeutic experience.

Freedom of expression is welcome, and the poem can be written in any form you choose such as rap, rhyming, or free style.
